The mesmerising beauty of Kashmir, its delectable cuisines, and the friendly nature of Kashmiris (the
people of
Kashmir), is famous across India and the world. They are well connected to their long-established
methods of farming and living. Pampore, a suburban town in the state is famously known as the
“Saffron town of Kashmir” and is believed to produce the best saffron in the world. The credit goes
to the region'sideal climatic conditions and the lacustrine (associated with lakes) soil deposits
known as Kareva.
